The Earthcore 5 in 1 Multi Tool is very easy to use, I found it great for digging out weed that we had in the garden. After not gardening for quite awhile thing where very over grown, but the Multi tool did a great job in digging out weed and also used it to transplant some smaller plants and dug holes for some new plants as well. Found the Twine & Bag Cutter, to be very useful, and even used the sod cutter to trim a few edges of the grass that we removed. Found the Multi tool very comfortable to use and also very strong and easy to use, would recommend this to anyone.

     Great

    Project Type:

Used it for digging weeds out of garden beds. Transplanting and planting new plants Used twine cutter as I was tying some roses out of the way. Used the sod cutter to trim some grass as we removed some to make the garden bed a little larger.

    Top 3 Features:

    1. Found it very useful for digging out the weeds as the two prongs grabbed the weed easy and was able to pull out, or was able to dig a little deeper and break up the root system, so they could be removed.
    2. Found the digger great for digging holes for new plans and also digging out some small Lavender plants that I wanted to move, this made the job so much easier

    3. Twine & Bag Cutter made it so easy to break into small bags for mulch and the twine cutter worked a treat as I had to tie back some roses that hat gone crazy

I found this tool very handy in the garden. I often find myself running inside to find a knife to cut open bags of soil etc but no more the bag cutter is an excellent feature. The markings for knowing how deep you are planting your seeds is also great. A fantastic tool for getting those hard to get out weeds. My only problem with this tool is that my husband wants to use it as much as me!

Heading out on a fine weekend to transplant a bunch of seedlings, and start off some new seeds in pots, I grabbed the Earthcore 5 in 1 multi-tool. This tool offers a long tapered blade, half way between a potting trowel and a knife. One end is slightly sharpened, to an edge about as lethal as a garden spade, the other edge is serrated saw-like. Additionally, there are measurement markings to aid in marking out depth, a notch to cut off twine, and a forked end to make life hell for any weeds.

     Great

    Project Type:

I had some seedlings, some seeds and half a dozen large pots. I wanted to transplant the seedlings, and start off some new seeds at the same time. This would allow staggered maturity for some edibles, so I would always have a steady supply of young spinach and lettuce. I needed to cut open some potting mix bags, transplant the seedlings, break up some sugarcane mulch and plant the seeds. All-in-all, the multitool was quite capable.

    Top 3 Features:

    1. Having a blade on hand with a comfortable ergonomic grip
    2. The serrated edge makes short work of most cutting tasks
    3. It is a supper aggressive weeder.

I found the Earthcore 5 in 1 multitool to be easy to use and a versatile tool in the garden. I found the digger and weeder able to reach a useful depth without much effort. The twine and bag cutter was handy as a utility knife, and I even used the tool as a bottle opener after working in the garden.

A really good multifunction garden tool. Great for planting with, weeding (the saw blade makes it really easy to cut around those stubborn dock roots) A really handy feature is that it is able to cut light garden twine. I even used it to cut some suckers off my cherry trees. I liked the way it felt in my hand, not too bulky but with a good grip. The only drawback I found was when weeding in a bark garden, pieces of bark frequently got stuck in the notch, but that is a minor issue.

A very useful tool at a good price. The multi purpose use makes it more efficient to transplant plants with the one tool. Handle is very comfortable making cutting and weeding easy. Blade is strong with good design not requiring change of grip in most applications.

The Earthcore 5 in 1 multi tool is great as it can help with various different tasks in the garden. It´s lightweight but durable. I found it to be extremely good with weeding in particular. The slit and pointed ends at the end of the tool are great for lifting weeds (roots and all) directly out of soil with ease. It seems to make what would be a tedious and hard job quite easy! An overall great tool to have in the garden shed as it seems to have a handy function for most gardening duties.

Sturdy little performer that is great for the small jobs around the garden. The tool excels when it comes to digging and weeding in small areas. The handle is comfortable and the design ensures that it remains comfortable for prolonged use. The tool is well constructed and was able to dig through a variety of soils. The only issue that I encountered is that stones get wedged in the prongs when working in rocky soil. Other than that performed all functions well and the depth gauge on the tool is an added bonus.

     Great

    Project Type:

I used the tool to dig up and weed a number of garden beds. The soil varied between almost potting mix grade to heavy clay based soil. The tool worked well in all except for the occasional problem of stones caught in the prongs. These stones did cause some damage to the inside of the prong. I also used the product to dig and separate some orchid bulbs and used it to plant some seedlings. The depth indicator on the front helped insure that I planted the seedlings in enough soil. I used the cutter to cut some twin in the yard. I also tried to use it to open a stubby. Unfortunately there wasn't enough depth on the twine cutter to allow this. Might be worth suggesting to the maker because if I had a crack at doing it I am sure 100 other blokes will and it is a bonus for the tool. I did use the tool to cut some sod. It did an admirable job. For this use however best to do small jobs with it.

    Top 3 Features:

    1. The digger. The size of the blade and length makes it a perfect alternative to a trowel. The blade went through the soil like a knife through butter. Even with the clay soil the tool did a great job and broke the clay up quicker than a trowel. Usually I would use a spade but for a small job in clay I am more than confident in the tool
    2. The construction. This tool is sturdy and well put together. I wasn't gentle with it and it held up well. The only issue was the damage that some stones did to the inside of the prongs.
    3. The handle. Non-slip, comfortable and shaped for the hand. The handle ensured that I could use the item for a couple of hours without getting blisters or splinters. The tool sits comfortably in the hand and can be used for long periods.

The compact Earthcore 5 in 1 Multi Tool is an excellent all round assistant in the garden, the yard, and in the shed. It's serrated edge is very handy and made very short work of the metre high woody weeds that I had let get out of hand in one corner of my yard. It's narrow tapered shape along with its forked leading points make transplanting seedlings and planting seeds a breeze even dry compacted soil. I also found it useful in the shed and on the back porch for cutting open bags of compost and concrete mix and the twine cutter on the non serrated edge is very handy because who can ever find a single pair of scissors when you need them!
